A traffic collision was reported at 3:42 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, on eastbound State Route 4 just west of Willow Pass Road in California. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a collision with unknown injuries.
The crash location was on the eastbound side of the freeway near the Willow Pass Road connection. CHP dispatch information did not specify how many vehicles were involved or provide descriptions of the vehicles.
At 3:59 p.m., CHP reported that a service vehicle had been notified and was expected to arrive in about 20 minutes. The dispatch update did not indicate whether the collision was blocking travel lanes.
The incident was handled through the CHP Contra Costa Freeway Service Patrol area. No additional information about injuries or the circumstances of the collision was included in the available dispatch records.
