In Hemet, California, a tragic accident on State Route 74 resulted in the death of 71-year-old Debra Dean late Saturday night, when a vehicle hit her while she was in a crosswalk at Columbia Street. Officials later verified that Dean resided in Hemet. On Saturday, September 20, around 11:15 p.m. The accident happened while Debra Dean was walking through the intersection. Authorities stated that a Honda traveling east on State Route 74 ran a red light while in lane No. 43183. The car struck Dean with great intensity, propelling her onto the street. Shortly after, emergency personnel quickly transported her to Hemet Global Medical Center. Medical personnel attempted to rescue her, but she ultimately died from blunt-force trauma. Authorities reported that the driver left the scene, leading to an urgent manhunt. Not long after, law enforcement found the suspect along with the vehicle at Soboba Casino.
