A traffic collision was reported Friday afternoon on westbound State Route 4 at the connector to northbound and southbound Interstate 5. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a collision with unknown injuries.
The crash was reported at approximately 3:07 p.m. on Aug. 28, 2026. Dispatch information placed the incident on the westbound State Route 4 transition serving both directions of Interstate 5.
At 3:18 p.m., CHP dispatch noted that Stockton fire personnel had been requested to respond. The available information did not specify how many vehicles were involved or describe the vehicles.
