The collision location was described as northbound I-680 just south of the Vargas Road off-ramp. The dispatch did not provide additional information about the vehicles involved or the circumstances leading to the crash.
At 3:59 p.m., CHP reported that the rider was in Lane 1. The update identified the rider’s position but did not state whether the person had been injured.
