A traffic collision was reported at about 3:28 p.m. Aug. 17 on the northbound Interstate 680 Sunol off-ramp in California. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as involving unknown injuries.
The reported location was the northbound I-680 ramp serving Sunol. CHP identified the incident area as being on the left-hand shoulder of the off-ramp.
A dispatch update issued at about 3:30 p.m. continued to place the collision on the left shoulder. The available CHP information did not specify the vehicles involved or describe any roadway closure.
The dispatch record also did not document an ambulance, fire response, tow request or additional injury information. The incident was handled through the CHP’s Dublin-area communications system.
