A traffic collision was reported near State Route 49 and Hilltop Lane in California at about 3:45 p.m. on Aug. 28, 2026. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a collision with unknown injuries.
The location was described as just south of the Hilltop Lane area along State Route 49. The incident was handled through the CHP’s Oakhurst area.
In a dispatch update issued at 3:48 p.m., CHP noted that the collision may have occurred because of a slippery roadway. The dispatch did not provide additional information about the vehicles involved or the circumstances leading up to the incident.
No injury status was confirmed in the available CHP information. The dispatch records also did not document lane closures, emergency medical transport, fire response or towing activity.
