College City, CA (February 21, 2026) – A deadly crash early Friday morning resulted in a complete shutdown of Interstate 5 near the College City off-ramp. The crash was reported just after 6:15 a.m. In the northbound lanes, roughly a quarter mile from the off-ramp. Initial reports indicated a vehicle rollover with substantial debris strewn across the roadway. Later, a pedestrian was reported lying in the road. A Ford van exhibiting significant damage on its right side was spotted at the scene. A male was observed outside a vehicle and believed to be the driver. Emergency responders arrived, closing both northbound lanes while crews managed the scene. Traffic was rerouted to County Line Road for some time. Officials later verified that one individual was transported to Kaiser Vacaville for medical care.
