Coachella, CA (April 15, 2026) – A head-on collision on Interstate 10 near Dillon Road in Coachella claimed three lives. The incident was reported at approximately 9:58 p.m. On Tuesday, April 14, a Toyota Camry driving westbound in the eastbound lanes collided head-on with a Honda Accord. The Honda was in the No. 1 lane when the crash occurred. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and confirmed that all involved individuals were pronounced dead. Officials identified the driver of the Camry as a 71-year-old man from Orange, California. A 50-year-old woman from Phoenix, Arizona, was driving the Honda, and a passenger in the vehicle also died. The passenger’s identity has not been released yet. No further details have been confirmed regarding the cause of the wrong-way driving.
