Chula Vista, CA (January 13, 2026) – A woman was fatally struck in a hit-and-run crash on January 11 in Chula Vista. The event took place at approximately 5:27 p.m. According to the Chula Vista Police Department, the incident occurred near the intersection of North Greensview Dr and Park Meadows Rd. Several 911 calls reported a pedestrian lying in the roadway. When officers arrived, they found that the victim had been struck by a vehicle that fled the scene prior to the arrival of emergency personnel. The Chula Vista Fire Department arrived at the scene and carried out life-saving measures. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was subsequently pronounced dead. Her identity is being withheld until her family is notified. Officials have not released a description of the vehicle or driver involved, and no arrests have occurred yet. The Chula Vista Police Traffic Bureau is heading the investigation and is still seeking the suspect vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to reach out to the authorities.
