(Surprise, AZ) A man died in a crash early Friday morning at a busy West Valley intersection on Grand Avenue. Officers stated the incident occurred around 3 a.m. at the Grand Avenue and Dysart Road intersection. Upon arriving, first responders discovered several damaged vehicles and multiple injured individuals. Officials declared the victim deceased at the scene. Surprise Police subsequently identified the victim as 35-year-old Christopher Sehak. Police confirmed a dog involved in the collision had died. Several people were transported to nearby hospitals for care, but their conditions were not disclosed right away. Officials reported that the intersection stayed closed for several hours as investigators documented the scene. Surprise Police indicated that initial findings suggest one driver may have run a red light to enter the intersection. Officials stressed that the results are under ongoing review and subject to potential revisions.
