On October 27, 2025, in Cerritos, California, a significant collision occurred between an SUV and other vehicles, resulting in multiple injuries at the intersection of State Route 91 and Interstate 605, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The incident was initially reported at approximately 1:35 a.m. near the connecting road between SR-91 East and northbound I-605. Early reports suggested that an SUV collided with the median before stopping on the right shoulder. Other vehicles, including two pickup trucks, might have been involved. Emergency medical responders from the Los Angeles County Fire Department and private ambulance services reached the scene and took at least three individuals to nearby hospitals. One patient was brought to Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, and another was taken to Lakewood Hospital. A third person was also taken by CHP units for further assessment. All lanes were briefly closed at Woodruff Ave while crews handled the situation and removed the debris. Tow trucks were sent out, and traffic resumed once the incident was removed from the transition road. The accident is still being investigated.
