Castaic, CA (December 21, 2025) – Friday morning, one individual was hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 near Lake Hughes Rd in Castaic. The incident occurred around 10:44 a.m. According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on the northbound side of the freeway. Three vehicles were involved, but the precise circumstances of the crash are still under investigation. California Highway Patrol officers and emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene to evaluate the damage and aid the injured. At least one individual was taken to a local hospital for medical care. The severity of their injuries is unconfirmed, and their current status is unknown. Northbound I-5 traffic was disrupted while crews cleared the debris and verified the area was safe for travel. No additional details are available at this time. CHP officials are still investigating the cause of the crash. We are thinking of the injured person and wish them a complete recovery.
