A black Toyota Prius and a white Freightliner big rig were involved in a collision on southbound Interstate 5 near Indiana Street in California on Oct. 1, 2026. The California Highway Patrol received the initial report at about 5:14 p.m. and listed the incident as involving no reported injuries.
The vehicles were reported on the right shoulder of southbound I-5, just north of Indiana Street. CHP dispatch described the location as southbound Interstate 5 near Indiana Street.
A later dispatch update at about 5:18 p.m. confirmed the presence of the black Prius and white Freightliner at the scene. The available information did not indicate that either vehicle was blocking travel lanes.
Towing assistance was requested for the vehicles. CHP did not report any injuries or provide additional details about the circumstances of the collision.
