Auburn, CA (September 11, 2025) – On the afternoon of September 10, emergency crews from Auburn Fire and Rescue responded to a traffic accident between a scooter and a car, resulting in one person being injured on Wexford Cir. The collision took place at approximately 4:20 p.m. close to 9690 Wexford Cir, preliminary information from the California Highway Patrol’s Auburn division suggested that a vehicle had struck an individual on a scooter. The collision resulted in the scooter becoming trapped under the vehicle, momentarily obstructing the road. Emergency medical personnel arrived shortly after the incident to evaluate the rider’s health. Emergency responders reported that the person was hurt but did not need to be taken to the hospital. The incident was first reported as severe but was subsequently classified as a minor injury collision (CHP Code 1181). Traffic in the vicinity was affected while emergency teams worked to clear the area and guarantee the safety of everyone involved. Around 6:13 p.m. The road has been reopened following the completion of the field investigation by CHP officers. Authorities have not disclosed the identities of those involved, and there have been no reports of citations or arrests. The situation surrounding the accident is still being investigated by CHP Auburn. We send our best wishes to the person who was hurt and wish for their quick and complete recovery.
