In Jurupa Valley, CA, a collision between a car and a tractor-trailer at a bustling intersection resulted in the death of Andres Quintana Somoza early Tuesday morning. The incident occurred on Agua Mansa Road on September 30, shortly before 2:00 a.m. Deputies from the Riverside County sheriff’s department attended to an accident that occurred at the intersection of Agua Mansa Road and Brown Avenue. According to investigators, a collision occurred between a tractor-trailer and a smaller vehicle, resulting in significant damage to the car. When emergency responders reached the scene, they discovered that Andres Quintana Somoza, the driver of the car, was unresponsive. Emergency medical personnel declared Somoza dead shortly thereafter. The sheriff’s office stated that the driver of the semi-truck remained at the location of the incident and complied completely with law enforcement. He sustained no injuries. Sgt. Andrew Sullivan noted that the cause of the accident remains uncertain. Authorities will examine factors such as speed, tiredness, or impairment.
