Anderson, CA (April 7, 2026) – A motorcyclist was killed after colliding with a sedan Monday evening at the Dersch Rd and Bent Branch Rd intersection, east of Anderson. The incident took place at approximately 6:30 p.m. On Monday, April 6, initial reports indicate that a 62-year-old driver in a 2000 Toyota sedan crossed a double yellow line into the westbound lane. The vehicle then struck a 2017 Harley-Davidson motorcycle heading in the opposite direction. The 52-year-old rider was ejected from the bike upon impact. Emergency responders arrived and tried to revive the rider, but he was declared dead on site. Investigators said neither driver had signs of alcohol or drug impairment. No further details about the individuals involved have been disclosed. Officials are still probing the cause of the crash, with additional information to be shared once it is obtained.
