A vehicle collided with a big rig on westbound Interstate 80 just west of the University Avenue on-ramp on Oct. 2, 2026, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch information. The collision was reported at about 3:30 p.m., and an ambulance was listed as en route.
A CHP update at 3:52 p.m. said the vehicle involved in the crash had, so far, only one person inside. The dispatch information did not provide details about that person’s condition.
