A traffic collision was reported at 2:48 p.m. Aug. 15 on northbound State Route 1 near the Ragged Point Inn in California. The incident was handled within the California Highway Patrol’s Monterey area, and an ambulance was listed as en route.
The dispatch placed the crash on the northbound side of State Route 1 near the coastal inn. CHP did not provide the number or types of vehicles involved in the initial report.
A later update at 5:37 p.m. listed an estimated 15-minute arrival time for resources from Cambria. The dispatch information did not specify whether anyone was injured or describe the condition of those involved.
CHP also did not report a lane closure, roadway blockage, fire, overturned vehicle or hit-and-run in the available updates. No additional collision details or final scene status were included in the dispatch record.
