CHP classified the call as a traffic collision with emergency medical response underway. The dispatch information did not identify the vehicles involved or provide details about the condition of anyone at the scene.
A later dispatch update at 3 p.m. stated that a city tow service had been requested and was expected to respond. The towing request indicates that recovery assistance was being arranged after the collision.
