In Bakersfield, California, officials have confirmed that the individual who lost his life in an accident on Union Avenue earlier this month was 48-year-old Alvino Ray Arambulo. The incident occurred on Monday, September 15, around 10:20 p.m. Officers from the Bakersfield Police Department were called to Union Avenue, just north of Bernard Street, following reports of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian. Authorities reported that Arambulo was outside of a crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle. While he was on the road, a second car hit him as well. Rescue teams arrived, but were unable to revive him. He was declared dead at the site. Authorities stated that the first driver stayed at the scene, fully cooperated, and showed no indications of being impaired. The investigators also observed that speed seemed not to be a factor. The second driver, on the other hand, left the scene. Officials suspect the vehicle could be a silver or light-colored Honda Civic coupe that has sustained front bumper damage.
