In Sacramento, CA, the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman involved in a traffic accident on 43183rd Street earlier this month as 65-year-old Alicia Barnes from Roseville. The Sacramento Police Department reported that officers arrived at the scene at approximately 6:30 p.m. on the second of October. Reports came in about an incident involving a pedestrian at the intersection of 29th Street and K Street. Barnes was discovered on the road and was taken to a nearby hospital with severe injuries. Upon reaching the hospital, physicians declared Barnes deceased. Authorities reported that the driver remained at the location and assisted the investigators. Currently, authorities do not think that alcohol or drugs contributed to the accident. Authorities are continuing their investigation to uncover the reasons behind the deadly crash on 29th Street. Investigators frequently look into various factors related to road safety and driver conduct when analyzing fatal pedestrian accidents.
