A traffic collision was reported at about 3:53 p.m. Nov. 5 on southbound State Route 99 near State Route 180, in the area of East Belmont Avenue and North Van Ness Avenue. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a collision with no reported injuries.
The location was described as southbound SR-99 just north of SR-180. The dispatch information did not identify the vehicles involved or describe damage from the collision.
A subsequent CHP update indicated that the Chevron gas station parking lot near the incident location was checked, but the referenced tow-related unit was not found there. The update did not report any additional injuries or roadway hazards.
