Oceanside, CA (December 1, 2025) – On Sunday afternoon, a three-car accident near the junction of Poplar Road and Rice Canyon Road led to a coordinated emergency response, with crews evaluating the injuries and damage to the vehicles. The incident took place at approximately 12:56 p.m. utilizing resources from CAL FIRE and local emergency teams, including Engine 11 and Medic 114. Responders arrived to find three vehicles with different degrees of damage and quickly started assessing everyone involved for possible injuries. While initial reports indicated that the damage was light to moderate, the type of accident led to worries about potential medical issues. Paramedics conducted evaluations at the scene to assess whether hospital transport was necessary, but it is not yet known how many people needed additional medical care. The specific cause of the incident is still being investigated. Authorities worked to handle the situation and reinstate safe traffic conditions on this section of roadway in the northeastern part of Oceanside.
