In Los Angeles, CA, a 57-year-old man lost his life in a hit-and-run incident on Arleta Avenue early Sunday morning, October 19. The Los Angeles Police Department reported that the driver of the vehicle that struck him left the scene of the accident, which happened at approximately 5:30 a.m. close to the intersection of Arleta Avenue and Wentworth Street. During their inquiry, officials discovered that a silver Honda Civic was heading north on Arleta. At one moment, they hit the pedestrian and kept on driving without stopping. When paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department got there, they took the victim to a local hospital. Medical professionals later declared him deceased due to his injuries. The authorities have not disclosed his identity yet. The Valley Traffic Division of the LAPD is conducting an investigation and is calling on anyone who has information regarding the suspect or the vehicle involved to step forward. This pertains to the hit-and-run incident on Arleta Avenue. Deadly hit-and-run incidents continue to pose a major public safety issue in Los Angeles.
