(Los Angeles, CA) A pedestrian was killed in a hit and run incident on Figueroa Street after being hit twice on Friday night. The incident took place during the evening of September 12. As reported by the South Traffic Division of the Los Angeles Police Department, an incident occurred when a silver Toyota Corolla struck a pedestrian who was outside of a designated crosswalk on Figueroa Street. The driver of the Toyota allegedly stopped to try to help the pedestrian. Shortly afterward, a blue car hit the already hurt pedestrian and drove off to the north without stopping. Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department responded and took the victim to a local hospital. Even after emergency assistance, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries. Detective III Moreno is at the forefront of the investigation and has requested that anyone with information regarding the blue vehicle come forward. The city has announced a reward of up to $50,000 through its Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund for information that results in an arrest and conviction.
