In downtown Los Angeles, CA, a DUI accident on Grand Avenue resulted in injuries to seven individuals when two vehicles collided and hit pedestrians early Sunday morning, September 14, shortly before 4:30 a.m. the incident involving a DUI collision on Grand Avenue took place. The Los Angeles Police Department reported that the incident took place on South Grand Avenue in downtown Los Angeles. Investigators discovered that two cars collided and then veered onto the sidewalk, striking several pedestrians. The incident affected seven individuals. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, two women in their twenties sustained critical injuries, and a 49-year-old man is in serious condition. Additionally, three other women are reported to be in fair condition, while the status of the seventh victim is still unconfirmed. Officials took all victims to nearby hospitals for medical care. Authorities apprehended one of the motorists present at the location on the grounds of suspected driving under the influence. The reason behind the DUI accident on Grand Avenue is still being looked into. The repercussions of driving under the influence can extend well beyond just monetary penalties or losing one’s driving privileges.
