On Sunday evening, a 12-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after a hit-and-run driver hit him while he was riding an e-bike in a residential area of Anaheim, California, as reported by the local authorities. The accident happened at around 8:45 p.m. close to the junction of East North Street and North Topeka Street. According to authorities, the incident occurred when the child was operating an electric bicycle, and a Honda automobile failed to obey the traffic signal, colliding with him. It has been reported that the vehicle kept moving for roughly a city block before the driver left the scene by walking away, leaving the car behind. First aid was given by emergency responders to the injured youngster. The young person was then taken to a close-by hospital, where they were diagnosed with a broken leg and several bruises. He is still in the hospital, but his condition is said to be stable. The Anaheim Police have initiated an active investigation and are looking for the driver and several passengers who escaped the scene. Authorities are examining surveillance video and witness accounts to identify the individuals involved. We extend our heartfelt wishes for a quick and complete recovery to the injured boy and encourage anyone with information about the incident to reach out to Anaheim officials.
