(Tucson, AZ) On the night of December 3, a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on East Drexel Road, resulting in the driver leaving the scene. The Tucson Police Department reported that the incident took place near the intersection of East Drexel Road and South 6th Avenue. Authorities reported that the pedestrian walked across Drexel Road from the north side to the south side during the evening. A vehicle moving westwards hit the victim and left the area. Upon their arrival, the officers discovered the victim on the road. Paramedics declared the pedestrian deceased at the location. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed yet as the family has not been notified. Detectives found car debris at the location and suspect that the vehicle involved is a white Ford Escape from the years 2017 to 2019. They think the car is missing its driver’s side mirror and has damage to the driver’s side headlight. The driver suspected in the incident is still on the run.
