San Jacinto, CA (November 21, 2025) – Emergency teams arrived at the scene of a multi-car accident Thursday morning on southbound State Route 79 close to Gilman Springs Road. The accident, which included a minimum of six vehicles, was reported shortly after 6:25 a.m. According to the California Highway Patrol, initial reports showed that a black Ford Fusion and a gray Honda Accord were some of the vehicles involved. One party reported that their vehicle was undriveable, and several lanes were obstructed after the accident. Traffic was stopped as fire crews established a traffic break near the landfill to control the situation. The CHP updated the incident report from indicating no injuries to confirming that medical aid was on the way, implying that at least one person needed treatment. CAL FIRE was informed and came to help. All vehicles were eventually removed from the road, allowing normal traffic to return shortly after.
