A woman was tragically killed on November 12th in a hit-and-run incident on Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood. The collision occurred when a reportedly stolen Range Rover crashed into her car at an intersection, as per the police report. The Los Angeles Police Department stated that officers from the Hollywood Division were alerted to the scene around 12:32 a.m. to the junction of Sunset Boulevard and Wilton Place. Investigators reported that the victim was driving a white Mazda sedan north on Wilton. While this occurred, a Range Rover moved towards the east on Sunset and collided with the unfortunate individual’s vehicle. Firefighters from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived and worked to rescue the female trapped in the car, but declared her deceased at the scene. Debris was spread out on both sides of Sunset Boulevard after the accident. The driver of the Range Rover escaped on foot and is still missing. Reports indicate that the SUV was reported stolen before the collision occurred. LAPD officers secured the area for several hours while they conducted their investigation.
