(Visalia, CA) On Friday evening, October 31, an individual operating an electric wheelchair was fatally hit in a collision on Mooney Boulevard, as per the Visalia Police Department. The officers arrived at the scene around 6:00 p.m. regarding an incident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at the junction of Mooney Boulevard and Feemster Avenue. Upon their arrival, the officers discovered that the victim had been struck during the act of crossing the road using a mobility chair. Subsequently, when paramedics arrived on the scene, they promptly transported the victim to Kaweah Health Medical Center, where unfortunately, they succumbed to their injuries. The driver involved stayed at the location and worked with the police.
