In Menifee, California, a 45-year-old man named Geoff Bishop was fatally struck in a crash on Southbound 215 Freeway around 1:30 a.m. on November 4. Authorities mentioned that Bishop walked into traffic lanes, leading to the accident. Officer Brian Seel from the California Highway Patrol Temecula office provided this information. on the southbound 43183 Freeway just to the south of McCall Boulevard. Initial reports suggested that Bishop entered the freeway for unclear reasons and started walking in the fast lane. At the same time, a 41-year-old motorist in a 2014 Mercedes-Benz E350 was driving approximately 65 mph in the fast lane. As they got closer to Bishop, they couldn’t manage to slow down or change direction, resulting in the front left part of the vehicle hitting him. Even though Riverside County Fire Department paramedics rushed to the scene shortly after, they announced Bishop as deceased there. The driver, who lives in Menifee, was unharmed and worked with the officers. According to CHP, it is still unclear if drugs or alcohol were a factor, and an autopsy is yet to be conducted.
