Long Beach, CA (November 2, 2025) – Emergency personnel responded to a traffic accident involving a pedestrian on Tuesday evening at the crossroads of East 55th Street and Atlantic Avenue in North Long Beach. The incident was reported around 5:49 p.m. This led to a response from LA County Fire Engine Squad 163 and nearby law enforcement. Dispatch reports indicate that a pedestrian was injured due to the collision and needed urgent medical care. Local law enforcement, including sheriff’s deputies, arrived on the scene to manage the area and start an investigation. An injured person received medical assistance at the scene; however, the extent of their injuries remains unknown. Emergency personnel attended to the victim, and as a result, there were some traffic delays at the intersection in the 90805 postal code while they ensured the area was safe for traffic. Authorities have not yet provided information about the vehicle involved or the events that preceded the incident. The crash is still being actively investigated.
