Redwood City, CA (October 29, 2025) – A bicycle rider sustained severe injuries on Wednesday morning after a car collision occurred at the intersection of Barron Avenue and Bay Road in Redwood City, under the jurisdiction of CHP Golden Gate. The accident was reported around 8:08 a.m. Emergency responders were promptly sent out with a “1141 Enroute” designation, signaling the requirement for urgent medical assistance. The initial information from CHP dispatch stated that a collision occurred between a vehicle and a bicyclist, with initial reports indicating serious injuries. Later updates revealed that the bicycle was an electric one (e-bike). The specific make and model of the vehicle involved were not disclosed, and it is still uncertain if the vehicle stayed at the location. The Redwood City Police Department has also responded and is helping with the investigation. The flow of traffic was probably disrupted as emergency services attended to the injured cyclist and investigated the accident location. The current state of the cyclist’s wellbeing has not been revealed recently. Officials are still looking into the incident to find out how the collision happened.
