In Ramona, California, a woman aged 76 lost her life in an accident early Sunday morning, October 19. The California Highway Patrol reported that her mobility scooter was hit by a car on State Route 67 around 4:55 a.m. in the vicinity of Julian Street. A 2014 Toyota Camry driving north collided with the woman’s three-wheeled scooter from behind while on the road. CHP Officer Jasmine Lopez stated that the collision caused the rider to be thrown onto the ground. Emergency responders arrived soon after and declared the woman deceased at the location. Officials stated that it doesn’t seem that intoxication played a role in the accident. The name of the victim has not been disclosed as authorities await to inform her family.
