(Irvine, CA) A fatal incident occurred Sunday night, resulting in at least one death. On October 19, a motorcycle and an SUV were involved in a collision on Santiago Canyon Road near Irvine Lake, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. Authorities were informed of the incident at approximately 8:23 p.m. close to Red Rock Canyon Road. According to witnesses, the initial impact occurred when a motorcycle crashed into a red SUV. Shortly after, the SUV lost control, went off the road, descended a slope, and collided with a tree. Santiago Canyon Road had debris spread out in every lane, leading to a temporary closure of the road. Emergency responders, including paramedics and firefighters, quickly arrived at the location, and the Orange County Coroner’s Office was notified at 9:50 p.m. to verify at least one death.
