San Diego, CA (September 21, 2025) – On Friday afternoon, a motorcyclist was injured in an accident with a vehicle on Highway 163 close to Friars Rd in the Mission Valley region of San Diego. The incident took place around 3:11 p.m. As stated by the California Highway Patrol, emergency team members from San Diego Fire and Rescue reached the location shortly after the accident and rendered immediate assistance to the motorcyclist. The cyclist sustained slight injuries and was assessed by emergency medical personnel. At the time of the incident, there were no other reported injuries. The crash involved a motorcycle and a passenger car, but specific information regarding the circumstances of the collision has not been released. The accident obstructed some of the southbound lanes while emergency personnel dealt with the debris and made sure that traveling motorists were safe. The California Highway Patrol is in charge of the continuing investigation into the details of the event. It is still uncertain if the crash was influenced by factors such as speed, changing lanes, or driver distraction. We hope the injured motorcyclist has a quick and smooth recovery.
