San Diego, CA (September 18, 2025) – A 10-year-old was injured in a two-car accident that took place Wednesday afternoon in the Altadena area of San Diego. The accident was reported at approximately 2:31 p.m. One vehicle remained at the location of the incident, while the other sped away heading north on Altadena. Crews from San Diego Fire assessed the young victim, who allegedly sustained an injury related to their seatbelt during the collision. While the precise details of the injury remain undisclosed, medical personnel stayed on the scene to evaluate and deliver required medical assistance. Eyewitnesses reported that the car that drove away was a green four-door sedan, which was last observed heading north on Altadena. Authorities were asked to arrive at the location and file a report. It is not yet known whether the driver responsible for the accident has been identified or found. The incident took place in a neighborhood area where children often return home from local schools, heightening community worries about both the accident and the fact that the second driver left the scene without offering assistance. Investigators are still looking into the situation and are urging anyone who may have details to step forward.
