Los Angeles, CA (September 6, 2025) – On Thursday evening, a hit-and-run incident resulting in injuries took place at the intersection of Melrose Ave and Western Ave, leading authorities to search for the responsible driver. The Los Angeles Police Department stated that a 50-year-old woman who was a suspect left the location following the accident. The event was reported at approximately 5:47 p.m. in the East Hollywood region. As per the audio recordings from LAPD West Division, the individual involved in the incident was operating a Chrysler minivan at the time of the crash. The car departed the location without stopping to help or notify authorities about the accident, leading to injuries for at least one person. Paramedics arrived shortly after the report and offered medical assistance at the scene to the injured individual. The victim’s health status has not been shared with the public, but the incident has been categorized as a felony because of the injuries sustained and the suspect’s departure from the scene. LAPD detectives are collecting evidence and are actively working to find and identify the suspect. The license plate of the vehicle that fled the scene has been recorded but is not being released to the public as the investigation is ongoing.
