An intentional traffic collision linked to domestic violence was reported Sept. 21 on West Imperial Highway in the West Los Angeles area. The California Highway Patrol dispatch classified the incident as a collision with an ambulance en route.
The collision was reported at 3:14 p.m. on West Imperial Highway. CHP dispatch did not provide details about the vehicles involved or the condition of anyone at the scene.
A later dispatch update stated that the collision occurred because of an intentional act related to domestic violence. The update also indicated that the incident would be handled as a 245 case, referring to an assault-with-a-deadly-weapon classification.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office was identified as the agency handling the law-enforcement portion of the incident. No additional information about injuries, arrests or roadway closures was provided in the CHP dispatch.
