A traffic collision with unknown injuries was reported early Sept. 9 on northbound U.S. 101 near mile marker 21.50 in the Crescent City area. The incident was reported at approximately 1:11 a.m., according to California Highway Patrol dispatch information.
The dispatch location places the collision on the northbound side of the highway. CHP did not provide details about the number or types of vehicles involved.
At approximately 2:18 a.m., the California Department of Transportation had a full closure in place at the scene. The dispatch information did not specify how long the closure was expected to remain in effect.
CHP also did not provide confirmed injury details, information about medical transports or a description of the collision circumstances. The latest available update documented the full highway closure in the Crescent City area.
