A hit-and-run incident was reported early Sept. 9 on State Route 29 as a vehicle traveled toward Middletown. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as involving no reported injuries.
The incident was logged at approximately 3:31 a.m. on a stretch of State Route 29 identified by CHP as being between two roadway reference points. The Clear Lake CHP area handled the report.
In an update at about 3:38 a.m., the reporting party said another vehicle tried to pass and struck them. The dispatch information did not identify the other vehicle or provide a description of it.
CHP did not report injuries, lane closures, a vehicle fire or emergency medical response in the available dispatch information. The incident remained classified as a hit-and-run involving the reporting party.
