A hit-and-run collision was reported Aug. 28 on southbound Interstate 15 near Compton Avenue in the Riverside area. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a collision with no reported injuries.
The report was received at approximately 3:15 p.m. CHP dispatch information placed the incident southbound on Interstate 15, just south of Magnolia Avenue, near the Compton Avenue area.
A reporting party contacted the CHP from Ontario Avenue west of Interstate 15. The dispatch record did not identify the vehicles involved or provide a description of the vehicle that left the scene.
The CHP entry was updated at 3:26 p.m. and remained categorized as a no-injury hit-and-run. No additional injuries, lane closures or emergency medical response were listed in the available dispatch information.
