A hit-and-run crash involving two vehicles was reported Aug. 26 on northbound State Route 99 near the Olive Avenue offramp in Fresno. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a collision with no reported injuries.
The crash was reported at about 4:22 p.m. on northbound State Route 99, just south of Olive Avenue. CHP dispatch information did not identify the vehicles involved or describe the circumstances of the collision.
By 4:25 p.m., both vehicles had stopped on Olive Avenue, according to a follow-up CHP update. The dispatch did not indicate that either vehicle remained on the freeway lanes.
CHP provided no additional information about the vehicle that allegedly left the scene, and no tow or medical response was listed in the dispatch records. The incident remained documented in the Fresno CHP area.
