A traffic collision was reported at about 6:49 p.m. Aug. 25 on southbound Interstate 215, just south of Cactus Avenue. The California Highway Patrol’s Riverside area handled the incident, and an ambulance was reported en route.
The collision location was identified as southbound I-215 south of Cactus Avenue. CHP dispatch information did not specify the number or types of vehicles involved.
A later update at about 7:12 p.m. indicated that a party was being transferred to a Riverside County hospital. The extent of the injuries was not known at that time.
The available CHP information did not report a lane closure, traffic blockage, vehicle fire, overturned vehicle or towing request. No additional details about the circumstances of the collision were provided.
