A two-vehicle collision was reported Tuesday evening on northbound Interstate 5 just north of Newport Avenue in California. The crash was logged at 6:52 p.m. by the California Highway Patrol’s Santa Ana-area dispatch.
CHP classified the incident as a traffic collision with injuries unknown. The initial dispatch information did not identify any injured people or provide details about medical treatment.
A subsequent update one minute later stated that both vehicles were on the roadway. The dispatch did not specify whether any lanes were blocked or whether traffic was moving slowly in the area.
