A major-injury traffic collision was reported Saturday afternoon on eastbound Interstate 10 west of Malki Road in California’s San Gorgonio Pass area. The incident was recorded at approximately 3:21 p.m. near mile marker 16.
The location was identified as the eastbound lanes of I-10, west of the Malki Road interchange. CHP dispatch information did not provide the number or types of vehicles involved.
An earlier dispatch entry classified the incident as a traffic collision with an ambulance en route. The medical response was documented before the collision was later assigned a more serious classification.
At approximately 4:51 p.m., the California Highway Patrol updated the incident to a major-injury collision. The dispatch information did not specify the number of people injured or describe any lane closures.
