A two-vehicle collision was reported Aug. 22 on northbound Interstate 5 near the Red Hill Avenue ramp in Santa Ana. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as involving unknown injuries.
The crash was reported at approximately 4:53 p.m. in the northbound lanes near the Red Hill Avenue interchange. CHP dispatch information indicated that both vehicles might still be drivable.
One of the vehicles, identified as a Honda, was reported to be leaking an unknown fluid. The dispatch information did not specify the type or severity of the leak.
CHP received the vehicle and fluid-leak update at approximately 4:55 p.m. The available information did not indicate whether lanes were blocked or whether emergency medical treatment was required.
