A traffic collision was reported Friday afternoon on eastbound State Route 24 near the northbound I-680 connector in California. The California Highway Patrol logged the incident at approximately 3:57 p.m. on Aug. 21, 2026, with injuries listed as unknown.
The reported location was eastbound State Route 24 just west of I-680, near the connection to northbound I-680. CHP’s Contra Costa Freeway Service Patrol area handled the dispatch.
A tow vehicle was arranged through an insurance provider, according to the CHP update. The dispatch did not provide additional information about the vehicles involved or the circumstances of the collision.
