A traffic collision was reported at 3:52 p.m. Aug. 20, 2026, on northbound Interstate 5 near the southbound State Route 52 connection in San Diego. The location was identified near La Jolla Parkway, and an ambulance was reported en route.
The incident was recorded at the junction of northbound I-5 and southbound SR-52. CHP dispatch information did not identify the number or types of vehicles involved.
A subsequent CHP update at 3:59 p.m. indicated that the involved vehicles or other incident-related material were in the left-hand shoulder. The update also indicated that no lane blockage was reported.
The dispatch information did not provide an injury assessment or describe additional emergency services at the scene. No further changes in the roadway situation were documented in the available CHP updates.
